They just don't have the technology down to work properly. The only bad part of the X-10, is the ear hook, whose tabs that hold it on the earpiece, break off very easily. Much better than all the other chargers. This superlight, unobtrusive headset, works more reliably than the new noise cancelling sets, etc. This headset need tender loving care. The charger though, is great, and simple to hook up. AND they provide a USB connection charger. no comparison. And the listener on the other head, often thinks I'm on a land line.I have sent two of the new Jawbones back.
If my phone is more than two feet away from the headset (in my pants pocket), I get static. It won't charge my phone and my phone charger won't charge this headset.I owned a Jawbone before this and had much better success with that. I'm returning this headset. Although the power connection looks like a standard mini-usb plug - it's proprietary and can only charge this headset. I'm going to spring for the Jawbone Bluetooth Headset with NoiseAssassin-Black (Jawbone II) instead. The sound quality is no better than any other (less expensive) headset I've worn and the earpiece barely fits in my ear. The earpiece connects to the headset with a large plastic square that pinches my ear, making it uncomfortable to wear.
Whichever device I am using at the time, the headset will automatically connect to that device. The sound quality is excellent, and the range is far greater than any other headset I've used.So there it is. :-)In the oft-repeated words of mothers everywhere, "Try it. I've had a few bluetooth headsets over the past few years, and this is easily the best one I've used so far.The main talking points have already been covered to death, so I'm just going to give you a couple of reasons why I love it.First and foremost, it pairs to two devices. It may not be a ten page review with all the Jabra specs pasted in, but that's how I feel about the thing. You'll like it." Most headsets will only pair to one device, so if you want to switch between devices, you have to re-pair it every time. In my case, I have the headset paired to both my Motorola Q and my Playstation 3.
The size, comfort, and quality of sound is great.I've tried multiple bluetooth headsets with the iPhone, and this is the only one that I have had that is static free on my end. I've owned the JX-10 for over a year now, and am very pleased with it.
Ace Photo refused to send a mailing label and said that I should contact Jabra. As you can see, I'm rather upset about this whole transaction. they would not send me a replacement until they received the defective one.
Jabra also informed me that the warranty started when the initial Jabra was sent out, which I think is unfair. It makes me think it would have been better to purchase it at a local electronics store. It should begin when I receive a product that works.
The first Jabra JX10 came defective and I had to pay over 12.00 to send it back to the Ace Photo. It has been 4 days and I have not received the replacement. This is the first time that this has happened, I have been satisfied in the past with other orders through Amazon.
Finally after nearly two weeks, a second Jabra JX10 arrived, also defective. I then called Jabra and they said that they would send out another one immediately with my credit card on file along with a mailing label to return the defective one.
